What you will verify
This quickstart is the starting point for a Modbus TCP simulator workflow in SPX. The goal is to start a ready runtime, inspect the register surface, and confirm that a Modbus client can read or write meaningful values.
Use the full Modbus TCP Simulator page for the broader capability overview.
Quickstart structure
- Start SPX and open the runtime UI.
- Select a Modbus-capable simulator instance.
- Verify the endpoint and register map.
- Connect a Modbus client such as QModMaster or Modbus Poll.
- Read values, write a control value, and confirm the twin state changes.
What this supports
This article supports integration work where teams need predictable register behavior before the physical device, PLC-adjacent system, or gateway is available.
